On today’s show, really it’s all about one dude. Sure, the Eagles looked dominant after they knocked “Super” Brock Purdy out of the game and they may have been the better team either way, but as fans, we missed out on seeing a great matchup unfold, so really not a lot to take away here. But the Bengals/Chiefs Conference Championship rematch, now that one gave us something. If you’re a Bengals or Burrow fan, you’ll point to the no PI call on Chase, the grounding call, the late hit on Mahomes but no call for roughing on Burrow and maybe feel like the game was stolen. If the Chiefs or Mahomes are your thing, you see Mahomes out there limping around, making plays and even running for a 1st down with an mix of desperation and determination, all in an effort to bring his team to its 3rd Super Bowl in his 5 years as a starter. Maybe Cinci fans have a point on some of the calls, but Mahomes had something to prove, and he wasn’t about to let the Chiefs lose a 3rd Conference Championship game. Burrow missed some targets and threw some picks while an injured Mahomes made the plays. Joe Burrow is great, I love Joe, but there is no comp to Mahomes. The only comp we should be making is Mahomes and Brady but let’s just wait and see if the Eagles have something to say about Mahomes getting another ring. Meanwhile, in the NBA, some stats on LeBron not getting to the line, I keep predicting the rise of the East and maybe it’s here, why it seems Jacque Vaughn doesn’t like Ben Simmons very much, our resurgent Warriors and more. So sit back, it’s come down to Chiefs and Eagles in the Super Bowl as the NBA season heads towards the All-Star break and we’re breaking down how it’s all unfolding, next on the Roundup Podcast so let’s get rolling . . .
